There's Sihanoukville's beaches. There's Cambodian Culture.
Then there's everything else.
There are plenty of hotels, resorts and guest houses around, from budget level to the luxury level. Be aware that many excellent house care the classification guesthouse but are much better than a normal guesthouse, that has something to do with the tax system in country where guesthouses pay less tax than hotels and some of them pass this to the clients. This area is fast becoming a great holiday destination since the cost performance relation is perfect.
Beaches and Islands
The town of Sihanoukville is surrounded
on 3 sides by the Bay of Thailand. From the beaches and
surrounding hills, many of the country's small islands can be
seen. Many of the beaches are filled with grass hut restaurants
and bars, some of the beaches are rocky, a couple are big
resorts, and some are pure sandy beach.
Sihanoukville
has the best and better developed beaches in the country. That are Ochheuteal, Sokha, Serendipity, Otres
and Hawaii beach.
The sandy beaches around this harbor town are getting already a bit busy and overcrowded, if one prefer to have it more quiet, more green, with waterfalls, rivers, jungle and great river cruises the small town Koh Kong.
